In the same month, I completed training for a marathon and my art history class ended. I now have quite a lot of what feels like extra time on my hands ( Read more... )

For the last two years, school has been my #1 hobby. I wouldn't suggest it.

How about riding lessons? :)

school would actually be just what i'd want to do, provided a) I was interested in the subject matter, or b) I could be certain that I'm not spending the months of October and November in another state.

Riding lessons are outside, expensive, and not within an easy commuting distance. (I generally don't drive.) But that is the sort of thing that would suit...

But painting my house fulfills your criteria! It requires a fair amount of physical energy, erratic bouts of time where you can take breaks watching the Symbiont, and you won't be spending long hours outdoors in the hazy, miserable Potomac swamp?

What else can you ask for?
