Having a baby doesn't have to be expensive. Breastfeeding is one thing we've done that has kept the costs low. =) Plus its best for you and the baby! =)

Dave's parents bought us a crib as a baby gift and I got the bedding off of ebay. Our bedding set is discontinued now, but I found a lot of cute stuff that babies r us was trying to get rid of on clearance. Also, if you can buy a set that is without a bumper, that'd be good. From what I read, having a crib bumper increases the risk of SIDS. Liam's crib doesn't have a bumper.

Having a baby can indeed be expensive if you let it! We got a little carried away, but I don't regret a single penny we spent :D We got the crib I adore, and allthe little "accessories". Sure, some I realized after the fact are useless, but whatever. We'll know for the second kidlet!

Oh, I have to totally second the above poster. Breastfeeding is not only free, but it's the very best for you and the baby! How can you go wrong? It's got a steep learning curve, but you'll have tonne sof support here :)

Oh, and we Cloth diaper, which can save you a tonne depending on what system you choose :)
