Late september

Late September.

Reid was putting the chocolate powder over his tiramisu.
He already had a nice dish in the oven and a union soup heating on the stove.

It took him a while but he finally managed to cook a proper meal for Luke. Just as he intended the first time they had a bed and some privacy in the apartment he shared with Katie.

They had shared a couple of meals off course. But when Luke staid at his place when he just got the place they did not want to waste time on cooking so they got take out, made sandwiches or just made a quick meal like salad and steaks.

But he was going the extra mile today. He wanted to ask Luke to move in with him.

He visited Luke and his family once at the farm for a barbecue birthday party what went pretty good. It helped that Katie was there sharing stories about Reid to make him look good. He came by the Lilypad once to pick up Luke to go to the movies but staid the night helping Nathalie with her science project and eating thank you cake with Lily.

After seeing Luke relate with his family he almost did not dare to ask him to move out of his mothers house. He could see how close Luke and his family where.

But for the first time in his life he wanted to share a house. A life.

They sound of the door opening woke him from his thoughts.

"Honey I am home" Luke was saying with a big smile. Reid was just hoping it would be true someday soon.

"Great dinner is ready when you are". Reid called back.

"You made dinner, I am impressed. Do you need help setting the table".

"Nope" Reid pointed to the small dinner table set for two. With napkins and candles and perfectly placed cutlery next to the plates he helped Reid pick out when they went shopping.

"Oh my, Reid it looks beautiful. What is the occasion".

"Nothing really". Reid shrugged. "I am just glad that you are here and will be staying for the weekend."

"Reid, You don't have to make such an effort just for me. I always want to see you even if you don't have any food or drinks here". Luke went over to hug Reid who just put the desert in the fridge" I love this thank you so much for making me feel so welcome. But if you keep this up I might never want to leave.

Reid pushed Luke away from him holding him by his shoulders. "You are kidding right."

Luke was getting worried. "Sorry, I promise I will go back to my mothers house Sunday evening like we planned".

"No, no that is not what I mean. I've been tossing and turning all night about how to ask you to move in here. But why would you since you love being with your siblings and your mother. But now you say that you might never want to leave. And I want that to be true but you might be kidding. But I hope you are not kidding. Luke please move in here. But you don't have to. Maybe it is to soon. Yeah you must think it is to soon. Anyway feel free to use your key anytime you want, even if I am not here. And you can leave more stuff here if you want. There is plenty of room. Now lets eat".

Reid quickly turned away and headed for the soup as he felt Luke pull him back and shove him against the fridge pushing his lips and upper body against him "I love it when you babble" Luke smiled at him as he went in for a deeper kiss.

They let go of each other when the oven made the ping to indicate dinner was ready.
Reid asked Luke to take a seat as he put the oven dish on the table to cool and finished up two bowls of soup with some bread and grated cheese.

As Reid sat down in front of Luke after placing the bowls on the table, he asked again "So are you moving in ?" Luke nodded "Good" Reid said as he stuffed a piece of bread in his mouth. Making Luke laugh out loud.

Late September Reid found a apartment.
At the end of October he had a home he could share.
