Just when it looks like things are wrapping up, another set of drama pops up; I'm really liking this. I still say this is a great alternative way of wrapping up Higuchi's end and that whole period that doesn't involve L getting killed. I especially like how things were pretty much wrapped up with Rem (and Ryuk's appearance was pure win). The fact a Foxfield is still lurking around is intriguing. Light's dream really has me curious and the whole connections between K and A also have my head spinning and wanting to see what you come up with next.

Thanks. 'Course, I spring L from his canon fate by saddling him with more problems, and from this point the main plot should really get rolling. While I was dealing with the Kira/shinigami/investigation side of things, I thought Ryuk should at least cameo. :) Light does have a bit of memory-leak going on.

Working on the next installment now, and I hope I won't keep you waiting too long.

Each chapter draws me in a little more. I love this series for everything it is. The angst, the kink (for which I refuse to apologize) and yes, especially for having L survive.

Thanks for updating so quickly.

You're welcome. I'll try not to slow down too much.

An apology would be entirely unnecessary anyway - this got started with the kink meme, after all. :) Yup, L lives. My ending to the first fic (where he was still hurtling toward his canonical end) left me pretty down, so have an upper... eventually. >_>
