The Door Closes

Today was Michael's last day at work. Wow, that came quickly. After I dropped Aeryn and Logan at daycare, Ellen and I went to the CBD (Central Business District) to pick up Michael's boxes. After he turns in his keys and finishes up for the day, he's going out to dinner with some of his now, former co-workers this evening ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure this whole financial mess is one of those once-in-a-lifetime events. I still have the feeling things are going to go more smoothly for Aus than USA. Yeah, one door close and another one does open. I think the Physicists call this the Law of Conservation of Open Doors. It's like how matter cannot be destroyed, it only changes state. WOAH! I'm one of those new-age fuzzy-physics spouting dudes! Thought that might happen one day. Tried to guard against it.

Well, keep watching the newspapers from the US, see how nutty things get over here before they get better!

We have our rain barrel ready to go now too. All except for that semi-crucial component of putting it underneath the rain spout. We're close.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING! WHOO HOOO! Hang in there Sis, tell Michael to kick back, exhale, and have a nice tall beer. Enjoy the breath because it sure won't last long.

'NIGHT SIS!!!

I'll pass your message along to Michael.
We'll be watching the US news, as we always do. I'm thinking that it's about to get really interesting over there.
Glad you got your rain barrell, they are pretty nifty things. Our tank got filled up over the weekend. Michael drained some out this morning (Sunday) and spread it to other parts of the garden. This will help saturate the ground more so the water soaks in deeper and also frees up extra space in our tank. We may get more rain this afternoon. Which will still be good. Paper said that water storage was still at 40%, but it takes a couple of days for the run off to make its way to the guages. Then we'll see how much we got.
