reflecting on my voting record and life as a migrant

For entirely selfish reasons, i really wish the US election season was limited, like it is in pretty much every other democracy. The average US voter who says "voting doesn't count" should look at the political maneuvering that occurs to try to PREVENT them from voting. If voting didn't count, one party wouldn't try so hard to make it impossible to do so. American's have been getting their education funding cut forever, and we as a whole are growing stupider and stupider. People don't read, don't use critical thinking, vote by "feeling." It's a shit show basically.

We shall all burn together.

I don't like representative democracy in either case. I just don't trust individuals that much. I do believe in a very limited system of delegation like you see if the confederalist assemblies in Kurdistan or Cheran, Mexico where your service is decided by lottery and you can be recalled at any time. Participation by delegate is fine, even limited voting but I believe all governance should happen at the level of the community. So, basically, no career politicians and no lobbyists and no so-called representatives who are basically so-far removed from the community that appeals to them that you just get autorespond emails back to inquiries.
