Yes! Star Trek was probably part of the reason I studied international relations and then became a diplomat. I don’t think I recognized it consciously at the time, but I know I absorbed a lot of my values from watching it. I’m currently in yet another round of re-watching every series. It is both comforting background noise while I cook and something that reminds me that the world could be a better place if I keep trying to make changes happen.
