I suspect you would be shocked at the prices in South Beach these days. Hotel prices everywhere have skyrocketed.

To be fair, I was comparing a fantastically cheap deal I got for one night during the week in Miami to a weekend price during a particularly busy weekend in Kaohsiung, but even still! I think you are right that hotels have gotten more expensive since COVID, though.
