Work has been busy lately, but that's not why i haven't written. One of the ways i have been occupying my time and brain after work has been to play computer games. Instead of playing my usual style game, which is short, indie, story-heavy "walking sims" and narrative adventures, i have been playing big, long, often-tedious "AAA" (mainstream) games ( Read more... )

When you first mentioned the topless men I was thinking about all the old suk suk 叔叔 with beer bellies and then you mentioned the fit guys and okay, got it LOL

The electricians that were working at my place last week, because it involved cutting off the electricity, so they had to work an afternoon without air-con and lights, and they went all topless. Even the younger ones, that although the chest was chiseled then going downwards there’s the beer belly.

No hate towards beer bellies, but it was amusing when you were mentioning topless men (fit and otherwise) and reminded me of last week.

"One day i should go out of my way to photograph all the kawaii stuff in Taiwan. Like, the electric boxes that are converted into lego men, or the mascots by the side of the road welcoming you into the neighborhood."

The one that gets me every time are the garbage trucks that play Ice Cream Truck music, and announce that they're coming so get your garbage cans ready....

I'd never experienced a typhoon before I visited Taiwan, and then I got two in the space of a fortnight!
It's similar in Korea with how every typhoon that's due to skirt by the country is bigged up as the worst one ever, but then it very rarely is. The media loves it, but the population in general just stays indoors for a bit and thinks nothing much of it.

Those rice paddies are super cute!

We experienced a few typhoons, years and years ago.

And our household goods, as they sat on the dock waiting to be shipped back to the states when we left. We lost almost 60% of them.

Stay dry!

You sound ok.
