Loved this entry. I think adventure to me means exploration...and often times it involves "type 2" fun where you have periods of "OH SHIT", and later you go "man, that was crazy." An example of exploration and adventure I had was hiking this loop trail I had never been on with the Redhead and my pupper. We had no idea where we were, and it started raining. Four inches of rain an hour...the trail became a river, and we were soaked completely through. My dog powered through the streams in the middle of the trail, and we kept walking and walking. Got so cold that we had to turn on the heat on the car (not normally done in Hawaii), and ended up seeking out vegan hot cocoas when we were done.
So, discomfort at times, exploration, periods of awe, discovery...good stuff that makes life interesting! Your bike ventures seem to be non-stop adventures.
