Is that the British Queen's Birthday or the Netherlands Queen's Birthday?

British Queen's Birthday. Although, i don't think i have noticed it in quite a few years. It's more of an Australia and New Zealand thing. In Canada they have May Two-Four, which is also Queen's Birthday, but the association isn't with royalty so much as celebrating the end of winter and being able to go out and enjoy the countryside (camping, boating, BBQ etc).

They should keep celebrating the queen, even now that they've got King Charles instead. He was born in November, not a good time for enjoying the countryside.

I think that Queen's Birthday isn't actually celebrated on the current monarch's birthday. It might have historically been the birthday of one of them, but nowadays it's just a national holiday like Koninginnedag.

I have to say, growing up with queens in both the UK and the Netherlands, i find it difficult to adjust to these days being king's days now. It just doesn't sound right. Maybe it never will, since i don't live in those countries any more.

I am amazed at how many different places members of your family have lived. I knew you had moved around a lot, but then you drop in still more countries, cool.
