OMG -- I sure hope they have given you something to relieve the itching. I've had a serious itchy rash (wasn't scabies - it turned out to be a reaction to another topical medication I was using) -- and itching can be worse than hurting. Like -- I know how to torture prisoners. Tie their hands behind their backs, then make them itch relentlessly! Ach!!!!
I'm sure it's not Monkeypox, but they're covering their ass by testing you. I also hope you get a phone charger. You need something to take your mind off of the itch!
Itching is for sure one hell of a torture. It's taking a lot of willpower not to scratch... But at the same time it's making me lose sleep too. Today I was up from 2am till morning just tossing and turning and trying not to scratch.
I hope i get a phone charger soon too. It's at 17% and dropping 😓
There was another post i got in email but didn't show up here about your psoriasis... I was thinking about exactly your experience when this first started popping up, especially in the belt-line area. I wasn't sure what to do, so i decided to start liberally moisturizing. I already used moisturizer daily, but usually just upper arms/shoulders and other areas that get a lot of sun, so expanded to full body while naked. I think the cream did help to soften up the skin, but it didn't help the individual red dots or itch. Now my skin is pretty soft everywhere so i think perhaps it isn't psoriasis, but who knows? The doc said they'll send me to a dermatologist once the monkeypox comes back negative, so we'll see...
YEah, I posted about the psoriasis, then decided I wasn't as sure about it, so deleted it. But it does sound like the psoriasis I got but yours is running faster than mine. Mine genuinely LOOKS like Monkeypox and I could see it being mistaken for it, but I've had it for decades at this point.
The annoying thing is that my rash doesn't look like monkeypox, at all. It's not scaly or dry, there is no blistering or scabbing. It looks like small red pimples at best or mosquito bites at worst. If you ever had sand flea bite, it's like that. That's why it didn't bother me for so long, every time I looked online to compare with pictures, the only similar thing looked like insect bites. It's only the last week where it's gone from just 5 or 10 to something like 100, and spread onto my stomach and sides too. Where the bumps are dense it looks like a rope burn or heat rash because the skin underneath is red too. But it seems the steroids and antihistamines have solved that "underneath" redness pretty much overnight. Still itchy, though. Gah!

Well I hope they find out what is causing your rash and that it is not monkeypox and they can cure it quickly. And that you get out of there soon.
