Ok. Is this water crossing after the mud the one you were trying to decide about before ? I am guessing possibly not as there was some paved surfaces be for the mud wrestling?
I'm a bit confused about what you mean here. This post is worded a bit differently because it's for a community that doesn't necessarily follow my LJ, so it doesn't reference my pondering in Puerto Berrío around whether or not to take the gravel road south. In the end i did take the gravel road south, and this was the result. There was a bit of paved road on both ends (heading east from Puerto Berrío to Medellín and heading south/west from Puerto Nare to La Sierra), but about 45km of the ~55km journey was gravel. When i looked up the road on Google Street View it just looked like a "normal" gravel road, but it failed to show all the massive puddles and bogs that i encountered along the way... I have no idea how the Google Street View car made it through!

I love these posts. I'm sorry about the muddy situation, though. Not fun.

I did not pick up on the different way you titled this entry until now. My apologies.

That mud mosh pit was epic.
You are much better at this than I would be.
...And I'm so glad.
Great travel documentation.
Take care of yourself and your hands.
