Chinese sponge cakes

It's a three-post day! What's going on?

I got sidetracked reading (more) about food, and specifically Chinese sponge cakes, which have been annoying me for several years now due to there being several different names for what appears to be the same thing.

So far on Wikipedia, i have found the following:

馬拉糕 Is a personal favorite as it’s not simply sugary sweet like 白糖糕

Just some random tidbit in case you are interested, in Cantonese we have a phrase “I don’t know, 食鬆糕” (I don’t know, “Sick Song Gou”) as a phrase to say “I don’t know”….. just simply because it rhymes LOL

Yeah, still going okay, just struggling to get phone signal! This campsite still doesn't have showers or flush toilets, but at least it has signal. Making progress!
