Nope, all the motels are booked out. I woke up this morning with ash all over my tent. Now there is ash falling from the sky like snow. My phone is covered in it as i type this. This is the same damn White Rock Lake fire that was burning in Kamloops. There's no escape except further south. And Nk'mip Creek is burning down there.
I should add, i deliberately stopped close to town instead of pushing on to a rec area in the bush, so there are lots of RVers around who could help me evacuate if needed. The fire is way west of here though. I didn't expect it'd spread so far overnight, but the winds picked up so 🤷

That is crazy. I know you are taking precautions but I'd feel like a crappo friend if I didn't say to be careful!
