I went back and read it. The thing it reminded me of was an interview I heard a few years back with some IWW anarchists talking about Black Lives Matter protests and how when the state did decide to engage they picked certain sort of "legible" blacks to negotiate with as opposed to the scruffy, poor punk kids. She said something, "It's interesting to observe which ones they pick." As an anarchist type, I don't think we can rely on hoping we're giving our power away to people who are nice and virtuous. Taking other people's power is not a good or virtuous act. The power must be with the people. Politician should not be a job. No more kings and courtesans in castles. If this crisis has taught us anything, it's that we can't sit around hoping millionaires and billionaires will come and save us. We save us

Understood...but it's an interesting thing that at least in the case of black conservatives it's ALL GUYS. I don't know who it is they think they are being edged out by. There is no Black Leadership to speak of. I think the main camp is just Democrat centrists. I feel like they can talk to whoever they like....just avoid Twitter. But Twitter isn't the real world anyway.
