I just had my first hike this morning since the corona scare. So nice to get out in the hills away from everyone where i can finally remove my mask. Not that i think my mask does much to begin with, mainly it just protects me from social judgement.
Heh, tell me about it. I do think the mask has a small value in that it can protect people if you suddenly sneeze and didn't get your elbow up in time, but it does feel more like politeness than practicality if you're not coughing anyway. I think i'd be fine to only put mine on when i am on public transport or otherwise in very close contact with other people, just let us take it off when we're out biking or walking or something, you know?
It really was surreal, because this is seriously up in the hills, like an hour hike from the trail head. The last time i walked that trail there weren't any lamp posts, but i guess they want to open it up so people can do night time hikes. Such an odd choice, though, it really stands out from the nature around it.
