[Holy shit where had he popped out of? Claire looks honestly surprised for a few seconds, and then ashamed, but shame quickly turns into anger.]

Where in the hell have you been?! [She realizes that didn't answer his question, and she huffs, meeting his eyes and not looking away.]

You've seen how lonely and depressed I was and you just were around and never came to talk to me? [She arches an eyebrow as she speaks, hoping he'd pick up on the clues that were the answer to his question. She quickly realizes this isn't how she wanted her first conversation with him after his walking out to go, so she frowns and ducks her head.]

I just needed to prove to myself I'm still real, that's all. It's not really something I can just explain to someone.

[In hindsight, Spike should have realized that a tyrannosaurus qualified as alive, even if the species had been extinct for a good 65 million years. He probably should have thought about that before trying to take one on. And it would have been nice if he'd realized it soon enough to get out of there before the mother T-Rex and several friends had shown up. That would have been fantastic. As it is, Spike is only living by virtue of that they didn't manage to detach his head. He's lost a ton of blood, and he's only barely managed to limp to the kitchen. There's blood in the fridge. He can heal. He'll be--

There's blood. Human blood. Warm. In a body. And it's just dripping out of the body and going to waste. Blood.

Before he can so much as think he's across the room and holding Claire's up to his mouth and drinking deep.

[Asdflshjdfljdlwe2!!! Yes, even in moments like this, Claire keysmashes in her head. She doesn't feel anything, of course, and since she knows Spike she just is simply astounded at first. She quickly comes to her senses and realizes that Spike is draining her, and she attempts to tear her arm away from him.]

Spike! I thought we established that I wasn't your walking blood bank!

[He growls a little and holds on tighter, sucking up the blood eagerly. It's been so long since he had human blood, and hers tastes so good. Is it just because he's been on pig's blood for so long, or if it really is that much better than normal human blood. He can feel it flowing through him, healing his wounds, making his veins thrum.]

[Oh my god, if it wasn't Sylar, it was some other creeper trying to get at her blood. Grunting in annoyance, she attempts to bring her leg up to kick at his stomach. She feels her strength leaving her, feels her head becoming light. Her kick is weak and she realizes just how fast he's draining her, and she wonders if he drinks all of her blood,if she'll come back to life. So she begins to panic, and attempts to tear her arm away once again. She swings her other arm around in a punch to his face, trying to distract him from drinking long enough to get away.]
