Reader's Notes: This is based on a lesser-known story by L.M. Montgomery (of Anne of Green Gables fame) called The Blue Castle. I love that story to itty bitty pieces and highly recommend it if you haven't read it. It's the loveliest, happiest bit of fluff for a quick read to put you in a good mood. Valancy is a wonderful character to read about, with just the right amounts of sass and spunk and shyness, and the rest of the characters are great fun as well. Montgomery's story is from Valancy's POV; this story is from Barney's POV, and inmyriadbits did a great job of imitating Montgomery's style. One thing to note before listening, if you've not read the book: Lady Jane is the name of Barney's car (because, yes, he is that awesome). :)
