Oh god, I cannot squee enough about this. I listened to it on my commute today, but it wasn't long enough to last the whole way. So, I uh...started it over and listened to my favorite parts again. THAT GOOD. This is one of my favorite J2 fics out there and it has been pretty much since I got in fandom, but I don't think it's ever given me as many feelings as it gave me today while I was listening to you read it. I don't know if i was intentional (I'm assuing it must have been), but you read Jared's dialogue with all this bubbly brightness for the first half and it just broke my heart the way that you voiced his progression from that peppy people-pleaser who was just so happy to have someone around to the adult-with-feelings-he-doesn't-understand-growing he is towards the end. I was in agooonnyyy. You just put a lot of stresses on things that I thinkI must have read differently or skimmed all the times I've read this, but which hit me so much harder than they ever have, like they were all brand new and all painful (in an awesome way ( ... )

Oh wow, thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much, especially enough to listen to it through more than once. It's one of my favorite J2 stories and I was really excited to record it.

I'm totally thrilled that you picked up on the change in tone for Jared's character, because that's exactly what I was going for--his voice changes as his programming changes and he becomes more emotionally complex.

And I'm really happy that the podfic brought out different aspects of the story for you. That's one of my favorite things about listening to other podficcers (and why I'll gladly listen to the same story read by different people).

So at first I was excited, because I love long podfic's, but now I'm getting kind of scared, because I've read the comments. Am I going to cry? I cry easily when it comes to fic's & pod's & stuff like that. I just want to be prepared & have a happy pod lined up, you know.

I think it's intensely emotional, at least that's what made me tear up, but I don't think it's a super-depressing tearjerker. It's definitely got funny and romantic moments too :)
