2 HP Podfics

Jan 27, 2012 00:54

I recorded these for the hp_podfic_fest and haven't gotten around to reposting them until now. The theme was winter, so it was inevitable that Christmas would creep in. However, neither of these podfics are particularly Christmasy (I know A Wizards Memory is set at a Christmas party, but it's a background issue and mentioned maybe once if at all. Awesome! Downloading now!
I actually just listened to the Stephen Fry audiobook HP#1 and was going through old HP fics I'd read years ago this morning so I'm kinda really excited for long HP podfic.
Thank you! <3

So happy to see people who aren't really HP fandom regulars listening to HP podfics! :)

Did you enjoy Stephen Fry? He's great but I always preferred Jim Dale's version because he does so many different accents.

Podfic makes me multifannish too. I'm a fandom slut these days! I think most podficcers are! :D

I adore Stephen Fry, but I've not listened to the Jim Dale version. I read reviews that his Hermione!voice was super irritating and plus - STEPHEN FRY. ^____^

For a REAL audiobook treat - listen to Roy Dotrice reading the Song of Ice and Fire series. HE WAS AWARDED A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR MOST CHARACTER VOICES IN AN AUDIOBOOK. Something like 220 distinct voices? HE IS AWE INSPIRING.

And yes, podfics make me a FANDOM WHORE. I'LL DO ANYTHING FOR MORE PODFICS!

But actually, it's only been for the past year or so that I've been completely overtaken by SPN. I've been reading fanfic for over a decade //is so old OMG// but SPN is the first fandom I've really set down roots in. THOSE BOYS. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

//that was a lot of capslock. i...really like podfics?// ^_^;;

Awesome, thank you for the rec! I'll check out those audiobooks.

And YES! Jim Dale did this thing with Hermione, and I cringed every time she said "Harry," (I need to be able to say it to make you understand, but trust me, it's awful).

I'm going to choose one thread and just reply to you there from now on! :D

Okay, for some reason, each link just takes me to a page that says "Error establishing a database connection". My Internet seems to be working fine, so I don't know.

Hi, sorry it seems the server the podfic fests are uploaded to was down for maintenance for the last couple of days. It's back now if you'd like to try again?

If it doesn't work just give me a shout and I'll get a mediafire link for you!

Hope you enjoy. :)

Your archive pages for A Fruit Tree In Winter are here: mp3 | m4b

The download links for the first podfic wouldn't work for me. Could you let me know when they're working again and I'll archive that one as well:)
