Have some good ol' paranoia! Scientists have perfected a memory wiping drug, like Bourne Identity type shit. WHAT IF THE CIA HAS WEAPONIZED IT!

Upon hearing this news from the horse's mouth (I attended a conference on the science of memory in New York City) my reaction was the title of this post. And I did have one, the second time I've had alcohol ( Read more... )

They've been working on that drug for years now, it's a frightening concept, but yet potentially valuable for PTSD. Ethical issues~

I wish my city had a Chris O'Dowd lookalike. I'd be a better person for it :P

Good books! ACO is wonderful compared to the movie, though if you're not very hip to Russian, I would recommend finding a "Nadsat" dictionary/glossary. I also rather like And Then There Were None.

I actually really enjoyed the finale. I find that who River is (predictable) is much less valuable than WHO she is. There's a lot of time between baby Melody and her. They clearly weaponize her, but she totally remains a mystery wrapped in an enigma despite the reveal. I liked how they did the Gangers better than the Homo reptilia people, I was pretty invested in these episodes.

Can't wait to see your thoughts on those books. I've read two of them, and the others are all books I've wanted to read for a long time now.

OMG RORY SO BADASS.

And I want a Nintendo DS just because of those games. Seriously. I see people talking about them and feel like something is missing from my life.
