I really liked it. It had just the right amount of angst and happy, very sweet and very real. I am also glad you listened to Hatter. Course I imagine he quite difficult to ignore. : D

*ahem* I'm in love with this story, thankyewvurrehmuch. Alice has lots of issues, and while it's nice to put them aside a bit in favour of fluff or smut, I like stories where people actually remember. Alice's characterization is completely perfect. Much love. Pardon me while I go off and squee-flail for a little bit.

Yays! Thanks so much! I love fluffy smut as much as the next gal, but I figure some things need to happen in between, right? :) LOL

AND, just realized I never commented on YOUR fic (which I meant to, but I read it at work, and then forgot because I SUCK) "Bedtime", which was ALSO a fantastic work-through of Alice's issues, with a side of fluff & sweetness. I'm so the girl who can't sleep with people, too :D

Eeb! *blushes* Thank you! Alice and Hatter together could be an exciting little buffet of dysfunctionalities and issues that need to be worked through. I think that's part of what makes me like them so much--they're both very REAL. They have issues and hangups just like all of us do.

Like not wanting to sleep with people.

And setting things on fire. (I once made my dishwasher smoke. THE DISHWASHER. HOW??)

YES. They are, exactly, and I think that's why I've been furiously writing them since the show aired. They're not perfect! They seem to work well together because of--or perhaps in SPITE of those dysfunctions, and it's wonderful prying inside to see what makes them tick!

OMG, I totally based Hatter's incident off of my own life--I set the washing machine on fire. FULL OF WATER, it was on fire! I am SO right there with you!
