This whole immigration debate thing, however, is rapidly becoming "Mexicans" vs. "White People".

whats funny is that I agree with you. The best quote I've seen on this topic is from Sonny Bono. When asked of his thoughts on illegal imagration he replied "Well it's illegal"

THANK YOU! I can't believe these people saying "But we're American!" No, you're not! Your kids might be, because you were quick enough to get across the river before popping 'em out, but YOU aren't, even if you've lived here 30 years.

Yeah, I really agree with you. I tend to be left-sided socially, but it's just a matter of respect. Plus, the repercussions really scare me.

Something I WOULD be in favor for would be citizenship for anyone who serves in the US military, but that's just me... :)

Exactly. I spent a lot of time in the free clinics, and let me tell you how few of those folks spoke ANY ENGLISH WHATSOEVER. Yet because they'd waited until they'd crossed the border to pop, the kid gets free meds. To hell with that.
