You write them so perfectly. They're really so messed up and stupid, and they can never admit even that, let alone that they actually love each other. I do love, though, that you didn't have Serena just say the words. It was very in character of her not to give in to what he was asking, because 'you can't even say it'. Serena just wants to know she's loved. I really believe she'd settle for less than what she wanted, as long as it included her knowing someone loved her, you know?
