Can I tell you how happy I was when I got the alert for this story?

Anyway, I loved that she called him to reassure her when she was having a panic attack. And how he seems to be always willing to be there for her, no questions asked. Despite their tumultuous, undefined relationship status it was nice to read that they lean on each other for support.

I enjoyed seeing them taking care of baby Lilah so much. I do so love Dan and Blair and kids.

And the end of the chapter, it put the biggest smile on my face. I loved the closing lines.

You'd be a good dad, she thinks, but she just says, "Hey, Humphrey?"
"Yeah, Waldorf?"
"Thank you for today," she says quietly.
There's a beat of silence, and then he says warmly, "Of course."

It was good to see them work together and support each other.

I can't wait for the next chapter.

Oh I love this story so much! Thanks so much for updating! (And a day before the premiere too!) :)

I can't wait for the next one! I'm also kind of dreading too because I know it's going to be present, and that means it's going to be sad, or at least somewhat sad. Oh well.

Another great chapter. I love how this scene relates to the "modern day" scenes. The idea of tragedy, or potential tragedy in this case, bringing them together despite any tension or lingering feelings. It makes it obvious why Nate and Serena would leave their children, their most valuable possessions, to Dan and Blair. The dynamic between DB in this scene was a lot different than it had been up to this point. It was quiet and simple. They needed each other in this situation and it just worked beautifully.

I really do adore this story.

Aw, I was so relieved when Nate said the baby's name, and I realized she was Ella. I also liked how great Dan is with Lilah, since you established that she has a soft spot for Dan earlier on.

And I love how Dan and Blair's relationship is building in this chapter. The end is completely perfect.
