this is not a good movie. 4 at best. charlie and the chocolate factory is 100% better. johnny depp ruined it.

Sorry, but Gene Wilder was and is Willy Wonka. Maybe it's just because I grew up accustomed to the original, but I prefer it. Johnny Depp definitely had an interesting take on the role, but overall, no.

Allow me to be the fourth to agree that this movie is not good and pales in comparison to the original even if it isn't "faithful to the novel".

Dear Mr. Depp,
Please run away from Tim Burton and never work with him again, he is clearly sliding downhill and I think you are amazingly talented, although sometimes somewhat misguided, please get out before you are hurt.
