at least they caught the growth, now's probably the time for chemotherapy and perhaps even invasive surgery, especially for a "huge growth" in the lungs.
With proper treatment at this age, the cancer can likely be completely sent to remission. Not cured. Since there really isn't any cure for cancer. Treatment and remission.
As for the car. Don't fret too much about it. I figure that with an increasingly crowded singapore, the probability of accidents happening are just gonna keep increasing. I'm sure things will be fine!
be of good cheer aways, I look forward to seeing more of your pictures.
the doctors are a little apprehensive to operate because apparently of its close distance to her heart. And while they were doing the diagnostic surgery she apparently couldn't breathe during one part. hence the reluctance to start immediate invasive surgery.
But yes, I hope that they're able to carry it out bit by bit and eventually send it packing.
thanks alwyn. sorry I didn't manage to meet you (again!).
With invasive surgery, they'd need to use a heart-lung machine, i figure. but yes, haste is essential this time round.
I may not be coming back to singapore for quite some time, but surely, there will be some other chance to meet up in the future. no worries. and God willing, that is.
One advise to your cousin: be optimistic and strong. and NEVER NEVER give up. I learnt this from my ex-colleague who passed away in 2006 due to cancer. He was extremely positive and the chemo responded so well. But don't know why one day he decided to stop fighting and he was gone in 2 weeks. His mum told us he was very unpeaceful on death bed...because he knew he should have fought on.
