You might start w/careerbuilder and craig's list. Especially for the apartment, craig's list might be useful. Good luck.

Actually just do a Google search for "[location] apartments." The first couple hits will be from rent.com, which makes you log in to see listings, but others are pretty helpful. That's how I found the one Val and I want to move into in Hopkins (they allow cats, and they have 1br apartments for $730, which covers all but electric, cable, and phone.)
