I think I got the internship! Granted I still have to interview in person when I go visit but it sounds like a positive thing! I'm so happy to finally be moving on to something new and North Carolina is certainly new---probably more foreign-feeling than Latin America or another place could feel. :) Anyway, Student Action with Farmworkers and Center

Double Yay! Congratulations! :) I'm sure that you richly deserve it--and yes, North Carolina will most certainly be more foreign-feeling than North CA, but that's the great thing about it! New experience, new people, etc. At any rate, the best of luck to you. When will the internship take place? During summer vacation? If so, then ya had better bring loads of sunscreen :P Oh, and remember to enjoy yourself, too! ;)

thank you for all your encouragment! :) yes, I'm very much looking foward to the new experiences it will bring. I'll start the middle of June and come home the middle/end of December. And about the sunscreen, its going to be quite humid so I think the sunscreen would just melt off anyway but I'll be sure to try. You should come visit sometime! Once I get used to the place, that is. Cheers, Dima! :)

hey ms. sara.. This is Vic, by the way, not Dima :P Sorry, I shoulda indicated that in my first message :P Anyhoo, Yeah,ok so maybe sunscreen *would* melt off in all that North Carolina humidity. SPF 500 would probably do it..haha.. see ya around!
