a. I have been in a slump the last couple of weeks. Possibly due to it getting dark so early, mostly due to lots of other things.

b. I have a day off today, in the middle of the week, because it is Veteran's day. Some around these parts tend to take this as a "floating holiday" so they can have the day after Thanksgiving off, but we don't get that ( Read more... )

I never really cared about Ken that much. But Sal must come back, it feels imperative.

I dunno about Henry. I agree with you that he's better than Don, but she knows nothing about the guy and I get a little suspicious when he's telling her not to take any money from Don, so that she's entirely dependent on him. I mean, I know that's the time period, but Jesus. Take Don's money! He owes her, not the other way around.

She would be the perfect political wife. I can't tell at this point if Henry values her for herself the way Don never has.

I was excited about the new company too! ANd Joan! And yeah, I agree. I like flawed Joan. I'm sure we'll see more of her. And I was hoping that like the others, Joan would get to negotiate for something closer to what she's worth; but then, she wasn't really in the position to do so, or didn't realize that they may have needed her more than she needed them.

Ken's a great foil. He's a swine, but at least a single one. He's intelligent and creative, unlike Paul; he didn't come from privilege or with an ivy league pedigree. He seems unaffected by office politics, unlike Pete, and floats upward. He's likable, unlike Pete. And Sal had a crush on him. I like him as the fair-haired boy.

ahaha. That's true. I did like how he was completely immune to Pete, you're right that he's a good foil. And he's not annoying like Paul.
