today is a mundane sort of day

Just raked the front lawn. I forgot about that silly willow oak and how annoyingly hard it is to rake up its leaves, as they tend to slip through the rake. Not a tree we had in Michigan, where most of my raking was of sugar maples leaves. Nevertheless, I feel accomplished. It's ridiculously nice out, in the seventies, and sunny.

I heard Spiegelman speak at the PEM, and he was terrific. It's probably worth the trip.
