Wow, and I thought the last part tried to kick my ass. Lots of thanks go to obsession_inc  for discussions which ended up incorporated into the fic, jadefire88  for plot guruing, and besyd  for great beta.

Not with Tony balancing on a high wire with her the only thing close to a net.

Aw, Poor Pep, not too steady herself and she's the only one willing to hold Tony's hand through it all.

a result of sporadic childhood lessons when her family could afford them

Ooh, I love this little tidbit into Pepper's past, and how it might shape her approach to the level of wealth working for Tony surrounds her with.

Her fingers stilled on the piano keys as the tang of ozone and scorched metal flooded her mouth.

Man, I love this bit, and the implications of it. Tony has Pepper to look out for her, but Pepper doesn't really have anyone, not to the same degree.

And the end, jeez. Delicate and subtle while still managing to hurt just a little. Lovely. Really, honestly, can't wait to read more.

Yes, totally. I'm glad that bit worked, I was a little nervous about it, it was a last minute inspiration.

You wrote a business party too well.

Poor Tony though. He's so broken.

Ohhh, how do you do it!? You're moving through the fallout and addressing all the pitfalls of the experiences of these characters so smoothly. I crave new installments. I crave them. Because each time you see a few more cracks and a lot more steel. Amazing.

Please, never stop?
