Achingly beautiful prose. Roy also really gets the child's POV, which isn't the easiest to pull off, while simultaneously showing

Ooh, Handmaid's Tale! Haven't read that in years, but I remember really liking it.

I keep thinking, as I said, that it will seem dated. BUt alas, these issues never go away, so no, it stays relevant. It's a lovely book over and above that, as well.
