Methos and Alexa discussion (update)

Very interesting, thought-provoking, and bizarre (to me) conversation at
pat_t's place.  It's always odd when you realize your understanding of a character, and even what happened in a given scene, is diametrically opposite to some of your fellow fans.  Eye opening. I'm glad to have explored these different viewpoints, even if I strongly disagree with many of them.  It helps me to understand my own interpretations.

This isn't mocking - but I really feel the conversation would have been clearer if everyone had gone and watched "Timeless" first. Because there were several comments that seemed to me as if the poster was coming from pure conjecture and fanon, having little to do with what was on the screen.  Again, just IMHO.  The tone of the conversation was very respectful, and I appreciate
pat_t's patience and willingness to continue the discussion despite our differences.

Here is the post : Head-over-heels or no?

The transcript to Timeless.

Edit 2/23/06 I went back and re-read the beginning to Pat's post and she does say that she wants to know if we feel Methos is heads-over-heels for Alexa. So my insistence on canon was a bit unfair, I suppose. Don't know why I got worked up so about it. Like I said in the thread somewhere, I'm focusing on the aftermath of Alexa's death in my writing right now so it's close to the surface of my emotions.
