In other news, the Sleuth channel is finally playing season 4 of Miami Vice. Yay! I just hope they continue and play season 5, it would really suck to get to see the start of the "Burnett"

I really didn't enjoy s. 4 and 5, but I'm obstinate that way.

What about Keira Knightley for Phillippa? She could play young enough, I think.

And don't forget you have to find either a blonde man who can pull genderswitch or a blonde actress who looks enought like him to pull it off.

well, I can see that. MV was uneven even in the first two seasons. There are things I enjoy about the last two seasons though. I think the "Burnett" arc was really quite well done, for the time. Maybe my judgement will change after seeing it again, but I still have the image of Sonny walking into the vice headquarters and everyone pulling guns on him burned into my brain - and I've only seen the ep once.

Eh, I like Keira Knightley in Pirates but I don't see her as Philippa.

And a woman playing Lymond would be... kinda defeating the purpose. Though it might be interesting.

Cillian Murphy is probably the most gender-bending of the guys I've picked - he's quite pretty. IN fact, I think he played a transvestite recently?? I wish I could find a picture of him blonde.

Actually, I meant for Lymond's half-sister Marthe. Remember, she looked enough like him that she was able to pass for him, especially at a distance?

Phillippa is fairly important in the later books, so getting her right would be necessary.

I've forgotten already. Who did you think for Richard?

ah, misunderstood.

I was thinking Eric Bana, who played Hector in Troy. Troy was not a great movie, but he was good in it.

I'm sure there are other choices out there.
