Musings on Matched Pairs
After having the matched pairs motif from CoK pointed out I've been doing some thinking (posted here because I'm too cowardly to post an actual entry on Sounis). Those are really interesting thoughts. When I-can't-remember-who made that connection, I just thought "Hmm," and not much else. ... but that really makes sense. Sophos and his subconsious, thinking of Eddis! And doesn't the Magus say something like "how did you think of that?" *snicker*
I would check my QoA, but my friend has it. I'm pretty sure you're right, though! MOW said it was ruby, but Gen could see that the jeweller had ripped her off.

So I was rereading KoA and I came across a passage that made me stop and do a double take, because it was talking about liberated socks. I seriously laughed so hard and sticky-noted it. I don't know if it was mentioned already in the links you showed me, but it was on pg. 82 (hard cover) "...even so much as a mismatched stocking, is a blow for the queen." Lol, so Gen's attendants liberated his socks :D
