I spent the last five days in DeKalb visiting Douglas and generally pretending that finals are simply a myth that upperclassmen like to scare freshmen with. Got back from that trip a bit later than expected last night, due to poor weather/being lazy/cuddle-stuffs, so I spent a good part of the evening reviewing notes for my THREE finals today. This is the most intoxicated I've ever been and it's not all that much. I don't understand how people get drunk and then do silly things like have sex. I feel completely unprepared for such activities and I'm only tipsy. I feel so empty. Surrounded by empty people and empty classes and empty minds and empty conversations. Conversations about what the girl down the hall is wearing who's doing who and when. I feel like so much time is being waste here. I feel like I'm being wasted here.

Leaving Sioux City shouldn't be so hard. I mean . . . there's nothing here I really enjoy or hold onto anymore (excluding La Juanita's). Perhaps it's the familiarity and the family thing that keeps me going. I also like having my friends around and my boyfriend a five minute drive away. Alas, I'm heading back to Ames within the next hour. Growing

I'm afraid that my bi-polarism is really starting to affect my life again. I think I may want to finally get diagnosed so that I could at least get school help for it (aid and whatnot). I haven't slept in over 24 hours. I haven't eaten in over 24 hours. I'm running on some sort of dumb willpower to keep going because I don't have any other choice. I have an art project due. I have an exam tomorrow. Appointments to keep, a life to live. Too much to do to stop for a nap or a meal.
If I can just make it to Wednesday I'll be fine.
