Something's going on with your ulnar nerve, then. I was having the same issue when I was having problems with my left hand from biking. Are you putting any pressure on the bottom outside part of the palm of your hand for any length of time?

BTW I posted the gyoza recipe the other day, don't know if you saw it or not.

I didn't think I was putting pressure there. I'm trying to have my forearms on my desk whenever possible, so I'm not crushing my wrists. I'm finding that I'm feeling it go more numb when I type - and I'm having trouble with muscle control in it.

So, thoughts for fixing it? Chiro? Massage?

M said you'd posted it - haven't read back that far yet, but thanks!

I went to the Waterloo Sports Medicine clinic and had one of the docs there take a look at it. In my case the cause was obvious and a solution was to buy a very expensive set of biking gloves. In your case, the cause might not be so obvious...but they will probably tell you to find the cause and eliminate it because that's the easiest solution. Otherwise it would have been physiotherapy or there's a surgical procedure that sounds a bit extreme because it involves cutting the nerve in question. Eek!

Maybe they can do an analysis of your hand position when typing or something.
