Why I wasn't at the potluck

Last night I got to see Chantel Kreviatuk at Centre in the Square (hence why I wasn't at the potluck - normally I'm ALL over that kind of gig - so my apologies). The boss lady got each of us in the office tickets. Raine Maida opened, doing his own stuff - you could tell he was nervous. Apparently he doesn't perform his own stuff that often. Chantal

She is really amazing in the way she takes care of her fans. I saw her at Humanities and she stopped the show at one point to ask if the light-effects that were set on-stage were blinding the people up in the back row. The answer was resoundingly yes so she asked for them not to be used for the rest of the show as I recall.
