'Fairly newbie' is a very generous asessment of my LARP skills. The books went in the post - well, Parcel Force - about an hour ago, so they should be with you in a day or so one hopes.
Sorry to hear that you're having troubles on so many other fronts, it's all piling on at once for you by the sounds of it just now.
Sorry to hear that it's all so traumatic at the moment.
Believe me, universities are never organised, no matter which one you go to or what you do there (I've seen more than my fair share of them in action!) Fingers crossed that it all gets sorted out sooner or later.
Don't completely give up on the social life - it might take some planning but there will be times you can join in with things so make the most of them. Are there any other students from near where you live? Once the course settles down, maybe you could get a study group going - that's always a good way of combining social stuff with study...
