Read Lover Revealed last night. I enjoyed it more than Awakened -- because the bouncing around of plot lines was tighter and she focused a lot more on Butch and Marissa. I still feel cheated out of enjoying some of the angst and romance between Z and Bella

I've not read the latest one, but being one of the few people who 1) read them and 2) read past the first book, who've managed to kick the addiction...

Well, I quit because I felt the endings with deus ex machina. It's like she uses the Scribe Virgin to fix things after she writes herself into the corner. I feel cheated, and I can't bring myself to read on because I keep thinking "She's going to cheat me and herself (because it's clear that she's a good enough writer not to do things like that) again!"

Both the Scribe Virgin and the Omega are deux ex machina plot devices. That doesn't mean they're bad, just... artificial. And as the series goes on, you see an escalation in the war between these two Prime Powers... in LR, you actually see a faceoff between the two of them.

I do think her climaxes could use some work. I did like it better than LA, I think. I probably like Zsadist more than Butch, but I've been bleeding for Butch for a long time now. It's nice to see how that got resolved.

Now I'm back to bleeding for Tohr and now V.

I read the first 3--got the third one because I won a signed copy of the second one, and felt I should give her another go.

And it seems like she does it sooooo baldly!

Though, I'll admit that after reading so many Dark-Hunter books, I've a very very low tolerance of deus ex machina plot devices.

I never clicked with Tohr but I'm definitely interested in the next book. V really became a full character to me in this book and I want his story NOW. lol.
