Ah, the book store. The only place I could spend a whole paycheck and not feel guilty. Well, I would, but only after I'd read the books ( Read more... )

I want to read Lover Awakening. Nonny was talking about it the other day, and while I'm not usually fond of romance novels, it sounds like one I'll like.
Yay for more books! :)

I had a different reaction to the story, but I can see your points. I was finishing reading LA at work and it did have me in tears at the end. The very last scene... "Awwwwwwwww!"

I do tend to agree that there was some disconnect between Bella and Z, but it still was focused enough on them that it worked for me. On the other hand one of the two most emotional scenes was not related to Bella and Z at all (Wellsie). I hate being right, but I knew she wasn't going to make it... just didn't expect it to be _this_ book. And DAMMIT! I liked Sarelle.

Darius just can't get a break.

Just wish Bella and Z had had some more time together, tbh. Still like Bella more than Mary, though. :)

Ah, now see...I didn't think she went deep enough into Bella's character for me. She never felt completely real to me like Beth and Mary. Maybe it's just because I thought having her completely forget and never deal with what happened to her full on was a copout I didn't expect from Ward.

I was surprised to see that Butch's story looks to be next.

And yeah, I knew Wellsie was going to go...but even there I felt a bit short changed cause it happen so quickly (granted, I'm sure she'll deal with it more later) and then they moved on.

Personally, I think she had way too many subplots starting/going through this and it took away from Bella and Z's story.

But, it was still a good book and will be reread at least once before the next one comes out. *grin*
