Trolol, I can't even remember who is who, but this is adorable. Emily (that's the secretary, right?) in Paris and obsessing over sophistication is a thing that exists.

Wonderful story. I liked your Emily and I'm glad she enjoyed herself in Paris. She was cute doing her fangirl impression. Nigel is a good friend.

Thank you! I'm so glad you like it. I wrote it for two reasons: 1) I wanted to write something involving Fanny Ardant and 2) I wanted to write something nice for Emily because another fic I'm working on is angsty.

Ah, Catherine Deneuve, that's not bad. :) I have met Mireille Mathieu, twice - the first time was outside and only for a short moment, kind of like in this story (dark, cold, exciting) and my friends had to speak for me because too many thoughts were running through my head ("omg there she is, wow, I didn't realize she's this small, oh no, I can't remember how to say any other words than "merci"... etc). I must have been a little bit crazy, I sure look that way on the picture. The second time was inside and under more controlled circumstances and I could almost control the brain/mouth connection. ;)

Well, this is the first story that actually makes me want to BE Emily, and I think many of us kind of were, right?
Loved the story, it was very sweet and happy. I also thank you for mentioning the kiss between Fanny and Catherine Denueve, ´cause really, it´s worth mentioning.
