The interview reached its third day, and Jenny was still flirting.

Angela was still pretending to be indifferent, determined not to be the first one to make an obvious move. She could see in the girl’s eyes how frustrating and unusual that was for her.

Jenny reached over the table and put her hand on Angela’s. Her hand was warm and soft; rested there only for a moment and her thumb brushed lightly against Angela’s skin.

“Thanks again for letting me interview you”, she said. “I learn a lot from you.”

Angela got up and strolled slowly past the table. When she passed the young woman, she put her hand gently on her shoulder. Just for a moment. Would it be enough?

Jenny tilted her head slightly and looked at Angela with wide beaming eyes, her lips parted a little as if she was going to say something.

“So what’s your next question, Ms. Schecter?”

“Maybe it’s your turn to ask me something?”

Angela raised her eyebrows. She touched a stray lock of the girl’s black hair and put it behind her ear, as if she was just tidying up a mess.

“Why”, she purred, “do you want to tell me something?”

“I…”, the young writer said, “I’m…”

Angela took a step back, waited.

“Well then”, she said, “we’ll finish this interview tomorrow, won’t we?”

She knew that Jenny was ogling her when she left the room. The girl’s dark eyes burned her back and made her skin tingle delightfully.
