"Peter" - aha! Fascinating. That really is a dystopia. What a depressing place. I'm trying to figure out if my mental eye wants to see Claire as still the eternal teenager, or if she's an old crone, since he keeps calling her 'old', although that might be just due to her chronological age.

Thank you! Yes, I was thinking that Claire looks young but he calls her old because everybody knows that she is, and because she sort of acts like an old crone anyway.

Yes, it sure is different from what I usually write, maybe the darkest I have ever written. (The funny thing is that I got the idea from a joke when I was talking to someone a while back, ha ha.)
