Salad

Ami: You smell strange.

Wally: I put vinegar in my hair.

Ami: So that's why you smell like a salad.

(Apparently vinegar is good for reducing dandruff.)

When I was in secondary school, my mum told me to use vinegar as conditioner for my hair after I shampoo. I used it for a few weeks. It smelt really bad and once after I went canoeing at East Coast and had to use the public showers, I came out with my hair stinking of vinegar and my friends were totally appalled. I was so embarassed and I told my mum and told her I didn't want to use vinegar to condition my hair anymore! I'm really not sure how the vinegar helps the hair - I didn't really see much change at all. How does Wally like it?

Well, from what Wally tells me, it seems to impede fungal growth. I don't know about vinegar being used as a conditioner though. As a fungus killer it seems pretty effective though- Wally's been using it on his feet and they've been getting better and better!

Hi Ami, this is Leah! I've tried a vinegar rinse that had rosemary in it... it smelled much better and I think my hair liked it.
Mmmm, salad-y....
