The area in front of Town Hall has been flooded with what might be described as a block party if it didn't extend for several blocks in three directions. Celebrants, food vendors, sellers of merchandise authorized and un-, meld into a happy chaos. A bandstand at the center hosts the only organized parts of the proceedings

His next words are drowned out by a sudden power chord from the bandstand. Pop diva Britney Britney stops singing and starts coughing as a cloud of purple smoke surrounds her.

"Oh, no..."

"What's... going..." Enzo trails off, glassy-eyed.

"Aw, damnit!"

Even Sam, without any FentonPhones to protect her, falls silent and sways to Ember McLain's signature song... though she retains enough of herself at least not to join in the cheering that erupts all around.

Danny, already in ghost form, raises his fists. "Ember...!"

"How's it going, dipsticks? Aw, look, you got an audience together all ready for me! Oh, did I say 'audience'? I meant 'army'!"

She twists the knob on her guitar and blasts another chord at the audience, which turn to face the guests of honour with murder in their eyes.

"Let's see you fight them!"

Enzo turns with the rest. For a moment his expression is identical... and then he clutches at his skull and bends double, as though hit with a sudden migraine.

"Enzo!" Dani turns a panicked gaze at her boyfriend before glaring up at Ember.

"Leave them alone, you bitch!" she yells, jumping in the air and sending an ectoblast Ember's way.

Ember parries with the body of her guitar and sends a sonic blast back at both halfas.

Suddenly, a red-suited-and, more importantly, helmeted-figure swoops in on something not unlike Enzo's surfbaud. She delivers a blast to the back of Ember's head and, without stopping, grabs the microphone.

"Hands on ears!" she hollers.

Danny stares a bit but does as she says, although it leaves him exposed to further attack. He does hover out of reach of the music zombies' grasping hands, though.

Dani follows suit, glancing down more than occasionally at the music zombie horde and trying to keep track of Enzo in the crowd.

Valerie promptly flies over to the side of the bandstand and jams the microphone up against one of the speakers.

The townsfolk join Enzo in doubling over and clutching at their heads. That is some loud feedback.

Enzo, however, manages to spare a hand and a moment to smile painfully up at Dani and give her a thumbs-up.

Seeing that thumbs-up, Dani sighs in relief before turning her attention back to Ember.
