no. i like to know people before i fall in love. then again, i dont know that ill ever be able to fall in love. ive never really been emotionally attached to people. i would like love though. but im afraid its lust.
I'm up at 8am. I'm never up at 8am. wtf's up with that?
I have a crush on someone who used to have a crush on me but won't tell me if they have a crush on me now or if they just don't want to persue a relationship because we live too far apart (but the distance is meaningless to me, although it seems to mean a lot to that person). And I think most of that person's friend's don't like me around.
I don't understand why so many people are offended by that asian or gay add. Is it because they're being compared to homosexuals? If being compared to a homosexual offended, doesn't that make you homophobic? Then again it could be for a completely different reason. So seriously, I dont understand it.
i dont understand the asian ad thing neither. i mean, comedy (even in its loosest form as demonstrated in the ad) will likely offend people. it seeks out the absurdities in life/mannerisms/philosophy/etc. and makes witty commentary about it. that ad was not that bad. i mean, i doubt people think less of asians now.. if they do.. then its serves a purpose for it gives you a crude guideline on the "who to avoid because theyre stupid" list. lower your defense shields everybody.
It wasn't witty, it's offensive. Imagine if they had "gay or mexican" and all the puns in the headlines and "copy" were about border hopping and burritos. "gay or black" would have fried chicken or crack cocaine. same thing here with the chopsticks, fried fish heads, etc. all done by a legitimate American publication (aka institutionalized racism).
Yeah, they tried. But no, it wasn't funny. Asian males are completely emasculated/feminine = Mexicans are only good at cleaning = Blacks are lazy and do crack = Gays have AIDS.
And I agree, alot of great absurdities are pointed out in comedy, but please, fuckers need to stick to their own race.
about the asian ad. as i mentioned before, i thought it was brilliantly funny at first. that was with the whole homosexual-asian thing.
the thing that really ticked me off was the copy. according to the writer, we are brand-name-loving effeminate idiots whose life revolves around bonsai trees and sushi and chopsticks. theres a hell of a lot more to asian culture than that, and i agree with bao- had it been a steriotype of a different race, there would immediately be a public outrage, and i wouldnt be surprised to see it on the headline of some newspaper. unfortunatley, the asian community isn't quite networked enough to do much action, in my opinion. our only network is that of gossiping moms, which isn't effective unless you're talking about SAT scores.

Infatuation does not equal love.

Internet? A breeze.
Phone? Cake.
It just feels awkward for me to say something like "I love you" or "I missed you" in person, and I think that's really hurting my chances.
And I absolutely hate constantly falling for chicks that are already taken.
A recent event has me slightly depressed and saddened because of this.
