And hee, The X-Files was my first fandom. I was a Mulder/Scully shipper all the way too :D I'm having mixed feelings about the reboot but we'll see...

oh HI :D it's great to see you again! Life is pretty good right now, if very busy (I've been spending the weekend copyediting so far) and I'm really enjoying being back on LJ/DW. And oh man, I am very into the X-Files right now-I first watched some of it eight years ago or so, but I never finished, so I recently decided to watch the whole thing over from the beginning and I'm having so much fun. Mulder/Scully is the best ship :D

(Have you seen snakey973's X-Files vids? I recently discovered them and they're great.)

I've been hearing all about the potential reboot! Is that happening for sure, then? I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure they could do justice to the atmosphere and character of the show, but if Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are both down, I'm a lot more excited about it! I also hear Gillian wrote a scifi book, which I absolutely need to get a hold of.

Heh, X-Files came into my life at the same time as the local library got this newfangled thing called the Internet. The rest is personal fandom history :D

Ohhhhh wow, wow, that vid is beautiful. The song is perfect too, I'd never heard it before! It fits the overarching themes of the show so well, and really captures the feeling of life being greater than it seems *_______* asdjlfkas;lfka;sc thanks for linking me to that :D

And damn, okay, I think I'm...hesitantly excited? I can hope! I want to believe.
